My review
There is nothing like women’s professional running — the incredible resilience, the love and camaraderie, and so many mothers achieving unbelievable things. Keira D’Amato is not only one of those mothers, but one of my favorites. She’s down to earth, funny, and truly one of us, having taken years away from running before clawing her way back to greatness.
I have read quite a few memoirs by pro women runners at this point, and I had such a good time listening to D’amato’s as I trained for my first postpartum half marathon. Her personality is on full display, her story is a damn good one, and it came to me at exactly the right moment (although you don’t have to be postpartum for it to hit hard!).
Highly recommend if you’re a fan of the sport!
